About Us
The David Melnik Law Office, established in 1996, is a boutique firm operating at the intersection of real estate, tax and succession: real estate transactions of all kinds, including acquisitions, sales, complex deals and development ventures; real estate taxation; wills, successions and estate administration, including under court appointment; trusts and endowments; ongoing counsel to companies and businesses; and court representation and litigation across the firm's practice areas.
A central pillar of the firm's activity is serving foreign residents, Olim and international businesspeople who hold assets or invest in Israel: from the transaction and its tax planning to the ongoing management of the assets in Israel for clients living abroad.
Advocate David Melnik, the firm's founder, is a lawyer and notary, a member of the Israel Bar Association (1996) and admitted to practice in New York State (2001). In three decades of practice he has handled complex matters, including cases that set precedents in Israel's Supreme Court. He holds a law degree (LL.B.) from Tel Aviv University and an MBA, and completed a Master of Business Taxation (MBT) with distinction. Since 2008 he has served as co-manager of the Maslovaty Foundation, a public charitable endowment, and he is Managing Partner of an international real estate investment company. He is an Affiliate Member of STEP, the global professional body for practitioners in the fields of successions, trusts and family wealth planning.
We believe that good legal representation begins with trust and a personal relationship: one lawyer who knows you, your family and your assets.

We act for clients buying their first property in Israel and for experienced investors alike.
How we work with clients abroad
Most of the work is done by video call and email, in English or Hebrew. Nothing in the process requires the client to be in Israel except by choice.
The office has advised foreign residents and Olim on property in Israel since 1996, and on the tax and succession questions that follow from it. Whether the asset is held, let or sold, the transaction and its documents are prepared under Israeli law.
